Sf59-040 — Fine Art

Sf59-040 shows open colour spread across a white field. The paint sits in broad areas with thin gaps between them. Sam Francis worked with washes that let the ground show through. You see the light held in the marks rather than heavy edges.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The paper is matte, so the colour keeps its flat look and does not shine under a lamp. You can choose a frame finish that follows the room. A light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wood furniture.

On a hallway wall, the broad colour shapes read from the landing. In the study, the open ground gives the page breathing room. You notice the small differences between the washes when you sit at the desk.
