Signes En Mouvement 1957 shows a few quick strokes laid over a pale ground. The brush moves with light pressure, so the edges stay uneven. A grey band drifts across the left side while a thin black line crosses near the middle. The marks do not fill the space.

They leave room around them. Zao Wou-Ki made these shapes with an oil brush on paper. You can see where the paint thinned out. The fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel.
