Sindbad 2008 — Fine Art

Sindbad 2008 shows a layered field of thin grey strokes laid over a pale ground. The marks run in loose bands, some lighter than others, with a few sharp edges left visible.

The artist works in a way that lets the paint stay open. This fine art print keeps that grain and the small shifts in tone. A matte paper holds the soft greys without a shine under a lamp.

The frame can follow the room: a light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. It sits well on a study wall above a desk. From the doorway you notice the broad grey bands before the small pencil like marks near the lower edge.
