Sky 1975

Sky 1975 by Vija Celmins shows a cloud filled sky drawn with careful pencil marks. The clouds sit across the picture with soft grey tones and a quiet feel.

The picture uses her steady hand and measured marks that she repeats in other works. A fine art print set in a frame with a back panel gives the surface a flat matte feel that suits the soft greys.

The paper does not shine, so the clouds stay smooth under a lamp. You see it best from a short distance in a bedroom, where the ceiling light softens the grey tones and the frame edge sits clear.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
