About this work
Smithsonian Resident Associate Program Tenth Anniversary Poster
A celebration unfolds in bold stripes. The Smithsonian Resident Associate Program Tenth Anniversary Poster by Gene Davis marks a decade with rhythmic precision. Each stripe, a note in a visual symphony, plays across the canvas in meticulous harmony.
Davis employs his signature vertical stripes, but here they pulse with added significance. Cobalt, crimson, and emerald bands alternate with stark white, creating an optical rhythm that seems to hum. The composition's precision contrasts with the joyous occasion it commemorates, blending structure with festivity.
This poster thrives in spaces that appreciate both order and creativity. A study, a music room, or a gallery wall would welcome its disciplined celebration.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.
For your country, this piece is estimated at 3 to 6 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.
If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
