About this work
Spazio Luce - 1968 opens on a quiet field where patches of paint meet thin drawn lines. The shapes stay separate and the light holds its own space. Antonio Calderara often built pictures this way, balancing empty areas against small strokes. You see the balance right away.
The fine art print uses matte paper, so the soft tones do not shine and the drawn marks stay readable. A frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.
On a kitchen wall near the sink, the eye catches the open patches first, then the small lines beside them. The light from the window moves across the surface during the day.
