Spring — Fine Art

Spring - 1984 by Ray Parker uses broad paint strokes across a light ground. The marks sit in different directions, so the field reads differently across the room. Up close the brush paths show uneven edges and soft colour shifts.

The fine art print sits on paper with a matte finish, so the light areas stay soft under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall lets the paint strokes stand apart without noise.

On a short hallway wall the shapes fill the view from the door. Near the coat hook the eye catches the wider strokes first, then the small differences between the marks.
