About this work
Ss Giovanni Et Paolo Rome May 1936 1936 shows a stone church front drawn in measured black lines on a pale ground. The outline of the facade steps back in a quiet rhythm. The work belongs to the twentieth century graphic art tradition of measured line drawing.
The white frame gives the sheet a clean edge against the wall. That edge keeps the line work from fading into the room. A wood or dark wood finish would sit heavier beside this drawing.
A black frame would match the ink tones. Hang the fine art print on a stairwell wall near the landing. From the bottom step the stone lines hold together, and the pale sheet stays easy to read.
