Stage II — Fine Art

Stage II - 1958 by Karl Benjamin shows flat colour planes meeting hard edges. Two wide bands of blue sit beside a pale band of cream on a worked ground.

The paint stays in place and the edges stay crisp. This is a fine art print of that painted sheet.

The print sits on a matte paper, so the colours keep their soft tone and do not shine under a lamp. Hang it on a pale wall at a height where the bands read as long horizontal lines. A hallway with even light works, and the colours stay calm from the far end of the corridor.
