Steel-Life N°43 — Fine Art

Steel-Life N°43 - Minimalism shows regular marks placed across the sheet in a steady order. The work follows the systematic drawing practice Francois Morellet used through his career, where repetition and measured spacing shape the whole page. A thin grid or a set of parallel marks can carry the image.

The fine art print sits on a matte sheet, so the grey tones stay flat and do not shine under a lamp.

On a landing wall near the stairs, the repeated marks read as a calm pattern from the bottom step. From the hall you notice the steady spacing, while closer up the crisp edges of each mark come into view.
