Still Life 5 — Fine Art

Still Life 5 by Henri Matisse uses a simple arrangement of painted objects on a clear ground. The work sits within his long practice of still life painting and his interest in flat colour. You see the shapes laid out with steady care.

This fine art print comes with a frame in white, wood, dark wood or black. The frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. A white frame keeps the light areas open, while a black frame sets the painted forms apart.

In a dining room over a low sideboard, the painted objects sit against the wall where you sit down to eat. From that seat the shapes and the frame edge stay easy to read.
