Still Life — Fine Art

Still Life vase with fourteen sunflowers holds a row of tall yellow flower heads in a painted vase. Vincent van Gogh used thick paint and short marks to build each petal and leaf. The yellows sit against a darker ground, so the shapes stay clear.

You get a fine art print on matte paper, which keeps the paint look flat and stops glare. A light frame on a dark wall makes the yellow read stronger. A wood frame beside wooden furniture ties the room together.

In a dining room, the yellow flowers catch the evening lamp light from the side. You notice the rough paint edges first, then the straight vase line.
