Study After Titian II

Study After Titian II uses thick painted marks that pile up across the sheet. Dark tones gather near the centre while the sides stay open. You can see where the layers cross and where the paper shows through.

The fine art frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. A white frame keeps the pale edges clear against the darker marks. A black frame sets the painted pile apart from the surrounding wall.

In a long hallway, the dark centre catches the eye first. From the far end you see the broad painted shapes. Step closer and the scraped marks show the layers underneath. The frame edge stays sharp against the plaster, so the picture holds its place without filling the space.
