Study of a Fig Tree by John Singer Sargent

Study of a Fig Tree opens on broad green leaves beside a thick trunk. A few loose strokes suggest fruit hidden in the shade.

The composition leaves a wide blank area on the left side of the sheet. The dark wood frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall.

The solid frame line keeps the empty space from feeling unfinished. You can set this fine art print beside a desk near a window that turns late in the day. The green shapes stay steady while the room light shifts across the paper.
