Sun Castle — Fine Art

Sun Castle - 1979 by Ronnie Landfield shows stacked colour bands with warm yellows and oranges near the top. The paint sits in broad horizontal passes across the sheet. A steady hand laid these fields one over the next. You see the same colour field painting approach found in much of his work.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The surface is matte and quiet, which suits the warm bands and keeps the yellow tones soft. With ready to hang the piece arrives assembled on the wall.

It fits well on a pale kitchen wall beside the stove. From the bench you read the horizontal bands. Stepping nearer you notice where one pass meets the next.
