Surf Wind and Fog

Surf Wind and Fog shows layered bands of ocean water and a pale sky in the manner of Eyvind Earle. The horizontal lines sit one over another with a cool grey tone near the water and a lighter band at the top. The shapes stay flat and the outlines stay sharp.

This fine art version uses a white frame around the image. The white edge gives the bands a clean stop on the wall and lets the darker water band sit without a busy border.

It fits a long hallway wall with one ceiling light. From the far end you see the stacked water bands and the pale band at the top, and up close the flat colour sits on the paper.
