Synchromy — Fine Art

Synchromy - 1915 by Morgan Russell shows a set of curved bands crossing the picture in warm orange and cool blue. The lines sweep in a slow loop and meet at a steady angle. Each band has a hard edge where the colour stops. The motion sits in the turn of each line.
