The Aqueduct and Lock — Fine Art

The Aqueduct and Lock shows a stone channel crossing a plain landscape with a lock beside it. Water sits still in the channel and the lock gate rests on a low bank. The whole scene is built from separate colour patches that hold the image together.

This fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel. A matte surface keeps the painted water flat and stops glare from a ceiling light. The frame is assembled when you use the ready to hang option.

On a landing wall the channel runs across the top of the picture and the lock gate reads as a dark block at the side. From the bottom stair you see the horizontal band first, then the small colour patches as you pass.
