The Big Oak — Fine Art

The big oak stands near the centre with a broad trunk and branches reaching out over a plain field. Andrew Wyeth uses dry layered strokes to give the bark a rough feel and the leaves a thin texture. The ground holds most of the weight while the sky stays open above the tree.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame is needed. The matte surface keeps the pale greens and browns soft under room light.

On a stair landing wall the tree fills the view from the bottom step. You notice the grain of the trunk and the open sky above while passing by.
