The Blossom Tree

The Blossom Tree - 1982 shows a tree in bloom set against a clear background. Branches carry small dots of pink and white paint. Brett Whiteley works with loose marks and open space in his practice. The image holds a branch structure and a spring mood.

The fine art frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. A white frame keeps the soft blooms easy to read. A dark wood frame sets the pink dots apart from the background. The frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall.

It sits on a dining room wall above a sideboard. From the table you notice the branch lines first. From the doorway the bloom dots read as a small field of colour.
