The Cedar Lot, Old Lyme — Fine Art

The Cedar Lot, Old Lyme shows a stand of tall cedars with bare trunks and thin green branches against a soft sky. The trunks carry most of the weight near the left side, and the upper field stays open.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. Childe Hassam worked in an American impressionist style with quick painted marks outside. The black frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall and keeps the thin branches from fading into the room.

A matte paper finish holds the grey greens without shine. It works on a bedroom wall near the bed, where the bare trunks stand out against the soft light.
