The Cloud 1986

The Cloud 1986 shows a few pale bands drifting across a soft ground, with the eye settling on the middle band before reaching the edges. Empty space around the forms keeps the whole picture quiet.

Victor Pasmore worked with painted colour areas and simple geometry in his abstract practice. The fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel, ready to hang from the ready to hang option.

The matte surface keeps the light tones from shining under a lamp. In a bedroom hallway, the pale bands read clearly against a darker paint on the wall, and the soft grey ground pulls the eye away from the door.
