The Entrance to the Grand Canal, Venice by John Singer Sargent — Fine Art

Water and stone meet at the entrance of the Grand Canal in The Entrance to the Grand Canal, Venice. Water takes on soft blue and grey tones while buildings rise along the edge. The light feels open and the shapes stay calm.

This print is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The flat surface keeps the water tones even, and the frame holds the view steady on a wall.

It works well on the wall in a study room where you sit at a desk. From the chair you see the broad canal line, and the thin building edges stay clear.
