The Exact Time — Fine Art

The Exact Time - 1973 opens with a steady band of tone set across a plain field. Mario Schifano worked in a cool Italian pop style, breaking images into flat colour and printed film stills. The picture leans on that same method, holding shapes in a hard edge without soft blending.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy.

In a narrow hallway, the horizontal band reads as a calm line between the door and the stairs. From the landing you catch the hard edges of the shapes. Step closer and the thin printed grain shows up in the darker tone.
