The Guardian — Fine Art

The Guardian by Lee Krasner sits on the wall as a broad painted field with colour. The surface holds separate bands of paint that do not fully join. You see the edge of each stroke where one colour stops and the next begins.

The fine art frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. A white frame edge keeps the painted bands open at the side. A dark wood frame edge gives the colour blocks a firmer line.

A hallway wall with a single bulb above the picture shows the paint keeping its separate bands. From the stairs you notice the edge of each stroke more than the whole field.
