The Poet — Fine Art

The Poet - Feminist Art, PD Pattern and Decoration uses repeated patterns and decorative forms to build a layered surface. Miriam Schapiro mixes painted shapes with craft imagery that grew out of feminist art and pattern and decoration work. The sheet carries repeating marks arranged by hand.

The print arrives with a fine art frame in white, wood, dark wood or black. The frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall and sets the decorative forms apart from the room around them.

It sits on a hallway wall near the stairs, where the repeating patterns read clearly from the landing and the frame edge keeps the busy surface neat.
