The Port of Martigues — Fine Art

The Port of Martigues shows a harbor waterline with boats and houses set low against a bright sky. Raoul Dufy uses quick brushwork and pale tones that sit against the darker water. The scene feels open and airy.

This fine art print hangs on a pale wall near a side table. A light frame keeps the blue sky soft without pulling the eye. The paper stays matte under ceiling light, so the greys do not shine.

It works above a kitchen sink where you wash dishes. From that spot the bright water band reads clearly at arm length, and the small boats stay quiet.
