The Red Model 1934 by Rene Magritte — Fine Art

The Red Model 1934 shows two boots standing side by side. Their leather is deep red against a pale ground. The red covers the toes and heels while the soles stay dark. A thin rim of shadow falls below each pair. One boot turns slightly inward, the other faces forward.

Our fine art print uses matte paper so the red stays flat and the pale ground does not shine. The frame finish can follow the room: a light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

On a hallway wall with a single lamp, the two boots hold the eye near the centre. From the stair landing you see the red against the pale field. The dark soles stay calm under the beam.
