The Revealing of the Present 1936 by Rene Magritte — Fine Art

The Revealing of the Present 1936 shows a painted scene in the surrealist painting practice, with a hat and a face set against a calm painted field. The brushwork carries a slow steady pressure across the picture plane. The marks stay even and the edges stay clear.

This fine art print comes with a frame in white, wood, dark wood or black. The frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. A white frame keeps the painted field open. A black frame sets the figure apart.

In a hallway, the picture reads from the landing as a solid shape with a plain field behind it. Up close on the stair you see the paint laid down in even passes. The hat and the face hold the eye without crowding the space.
