About this work
The Rustlers 1962 shows a group of people on horseback drawn with careful pencil lines and pale washes across the page. The horses face left, their bodies built from small strokes that add up slowly.
You can see the marks best from a short distance, then the forms settle back across the room. Ivan Albright built this image with slow drawing and thin paint on paper, a way of working he used for many years.
The fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that takes a nail or screw without a separate frame. It fits a study wall near a desk, where the head of a rider reads first and the smaller marks around the horses show later.
