The Wave

The Wave - 1944 shows drawn shapes that rise and fall like water moving across a sheet. Victor Pasmore worked in a measured way, planning each mark before placing it. The shapes use soft tones and leave open spaces between them.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. It arrives assembled when the ready to hang option is used. The matte surface keeps the soft tones steady under indoor light and there is no shine.

It works on a bedroom wall where the morning light falls near the door. From the bed you see the broad shapes first, and closer up the drawn edges show through.
