The Wave 1944 — Fine Art

The Wave 1944 shows a curved band of deep blue running across a soft grey ground. A thinner line of green sits below it, and the marks feel loose and painted. Victor Pasmore worked with these kinds of sweeping forms in his abstract practice.

The print arrives with a fine art finish on matte paper, so the blue does not turn shiny under a lamp. A light frame sits on a dark wall, or a dark frame on a pale wall, and the frame finish can follow the room.

It hangs on the stairwell wall beside the newel post. From the landing you see the blue curve first, and the small green line comes into view when you pass the bottom step.
