Thebes Revenge — Fine Art

Brett Whiteley painted Thebes Revenge - 1982 with open fields of green and blue on a flat ground. A few lines cross the page and leave most of the sheet empty. The picture sits on a white frame that keeps the painted edge clear against the surrounding wall.

The fine art print sits on a white frame, and the frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. The matte surface keeps the greens and blues soft when the light comes from a side lamp.

It works above a desk in a study. From the chair you see the open ground and the few marks first, while the small pencil lines come into view when you lean in.
