About this work
Tibetan Garden Song Roci Tibet 1986 shows a mixed field of marks and patches laid over a soft off white ground. Broad painted shapes sit near the top while smaller transfers gather lower down. The work belongs to the combines practice of Robert Rauschenberg, where painting and printed matter meet on one surface.
The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. A white frame gives the picture a clean edge against the pale ground. The frame edge keeps the painted marks separate from the wall and lets the small transfers stay readable.
Hang it on a bedroom wall near a reading corner. From the chair you notice the broad painted shapes first, then the small transfers lower down. The white frame keeps the field clear against the wall.
