Tigers Eye

Tigers Eye - 10.3.07 - 2007 by John Hoyland presents broad painted bands in warm brown and gold tones. The surface holds layered colour with hard edges.

A fine art print set in a frame with a back panel shows those tones without glare. The matte paper keeps the brown edges soft against the darker band.

It works on a kitchen wall by the stove. From the breakfast bar you see the gold band first, then the small pencil lines along the edge.
