Tree or Paradise — Fine Art

Tree or Paradise by Seraphine Louis shows a tree growing through a quiet field of colour. The painting uses broad painted bands set across a softer ground. Seraphine Louis worked with bold colour shifts in her abstract painting practice. The image has a calm feel that comes from the slow change in tone.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The paper is matte, so the light tones stay soft and there is no shine under a lamp. The back panel keeps the print flat when you hang it.

It works on a reading corner wall where the light comes from one side. From the chair you see the broad painted bands and the soft colour shift between them. The steady tone across the sheet gives the corner a quiet look.
