Untitled 1 — Fine Art

Untitled 1 - 1979 shows a hard edged band of colour running across a quiet ground. The line holds a steady weight from one side to the other. Larry Zox worked with flat colour blocks and clear boundaries in his abstract paintings, and this print follows that method.

A fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel. The print carries the crisp edge of the original mark without a shine under lamp light. You see the flat colour plane as it was laid down.

It hangs on a narrow landing wall above a coat hook. From the stairs you notice the single band first, then the quiet ground around it. The frame keeps the picture steady at that height.
