Untitled - 1959 by Norman Bluhm opens on broad painted strokes laid down with speed. The strokes move across the sheet with weight, leaving soft tone fields where the paint thins out. Grey and black shapes sit against a lighter ground, and the eye follows the sweep of each mark.
