Untitled 1961

Untitled 1961 by Lee Bontecou shows a dark opening set into a rough ground with small cross marks around it. The drawing comes from the cut and assembled pieces she built in her sculptural work. A faint outline holds the centre shape against the lighter sheet.

This fine art print has a metal hanger on the back that slides onto a nail or screw. You do not need a frame. The hanger keeps the sheet flat against the wall.

Hang it in a study room beside a desk. From the chair you notice the dark centre shape and the small marks around it. The light stays even on the paper.
