About this work

Untitled

Untitled - 1961 by Robert Ryman stays with a quiet field of white paint laid across the paper. The surface reads as even, with small changes in tone where the brush passed over itself. Nothing in the picture pulls the eye to one spot.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. The matte paper keeps the white areas from shining under a lamp.

It fits on a kitchen wall above the counter. From the doorway you notice the plain white field first, then the small shifts in tone when you pass by.
