About this work
Untitled - 1965 shows coloured bands pressed against a pale ground, with sharp edges and small uneven marks at the corners. The painter Nicholas Krushenick worked with gestural colour and hard boundaries, and this print keeps that push and pull.
This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. You can see where the paint moved fast and where it slowed. The paper is matte, so the bright colour sits flat and does not shine under a lamp.
A metal hanger is fitted to the back, and the piece goes straight onto a single nail. It fits a narrow wall in a study above a desk, where the hard edges meet the wood grain and the small marks catch the lamp light.
