Untitled 1982

Untitled 1982 by Lee Bontecou shows a dark central shape set against a lighter ground. The outer edge of the form carries hand drawn lines that press into the space around it. The tones sit low and quiet against the pale field.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fixed to the back, so it goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame is needed. The matte surface keeps the soft greys from shining under a lamp.

It fits on a kitchen wall beside the range hood. From the table you see the central shape and the surrounding tone. From the doorway the grey ground settles behind the darker form.
