Untitled 2007 — Fine Art

Untitled 2007 by Louise Bourgeois uses the simple bold signs she often worked in her prints. A closed shape sits on a plain background with even tone. The eye stops at the solid form and rests there.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. A light frame on a dark wall or a dark frame on a pale wall lets the flat tone stay clean. The matte surface keeps the tone even under indoor light.

In a hallway near the turn you see the solid shape first. Up close the even tone reads as one quiet field. The image holds its shape without extra detail.
