Untitled — Fine Art

The abstract painting Untitled - 2015 by Etel Adnan uses colour fields and soft shapes on a quiet ground. The tones sit close together and the field holds its own balance without hard edges. The method follows the painter practice of building colour through layered marks.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. A white frame gives the picture a clean edge on the wall. The white finish keeps the colours of the image from being held back by a dark border. The frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall.

In a narrow hallway the stripes of paint sit low on the wall and the eye reads the soft shifts in tone before the colours fade into the plaster. You notice the small changes in tone when you stop near the corner.
