Untitled 7 — Fine Art

Untitled 7 shows a few ink marks laid across a plain ground. The strokes sit close together, some pressed hard, some lighter. Henri Michaux worked with ink on paper, letting the pen move fast and leave a trace. The image stays spare, with room around each line.

This fine art print keeps the inked lines clear on matte paper. The paper does not shine under a lamp, so the faint strokes stay visible. A light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture lets the frame finish follow the room.

On a narrow hallway wall, the marks read from the landing as a small set of lines. Step closer and the pen pressure shows in the darker runs. The space around them stays open.
