Untitled — Fine Art

Untitled - Abstract Expressionism shows broad strokes set into a quiet field. The marks pull the eye across the picture in slow steps. Brice Marden made the picture with steady hands and a measured pace. The paint stays flat and the edges stay soft.

A fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the tones even when the room light hits it. You see the paint shapes clearly without glare.

It fits on a hall wall where people pass twice a day. From the centre of the hall the shapes read as one block, from the end of the hall the small shifts in tone show.
