Untitled Expedition - 1995 shows a pale ground crossed by a few hard painted bands. The brush moves in one direction and leaves a rough edge where the paint stops.

Ralston Crawford worked with flat planes of colour and measured shapes, and that habit shows in this sheet. You hang this fine art print straight on a nail or screw because a metal hanger is already fitted to the back.

No extra frame is needed. The room stays simple and the paint lines stay clear. It suits a narrow corridor wall where the light comes from one side and the bands read from the far end.
