Untitled - Fauvism by Charles Lapicque uses broad painted patches and vivid colour. The sheet carries fast brushwork from early twentieth century French painting. Vivid colour patches sit on an open ground. The marks were made quickly and stay loose.

The fine art frame finish can follow the room. A light frame sits on a dark wall and draws the eye to the bright colour patches. The matte surface holds the paint look without a shine.

It hangs on the stair landing wall. From the bottom step you see the broad colour bands and feel the quick painted marks. The frame stays dark beside the wooden newel post.
