Untitled II — Fine Art

Untitled II - 1997 shows painted colour areas arranged in a steady layout across the sheet. Several blocks of tone meet at simple borders. The layout leaves open ground between the painted parts. Gunther Forg built this kind of picture through repeated painted fields.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. Soft tones in the surface stay readable when light falls across the picture.

On a kitchen wall above a counter, the broad colour areas settle the view from the doorway. You notice the painted blocks first, then the space around them. The room keeps its own clutter and the picture holds its own order.
