Untitled Nr 2318 2006 — Fine Art

Untitled Nr 2318 2006 carries a steady spanish abstract painting mood in its marks and tone. A soft ground holds a few dark strokes that sit apart from one another. The paint stays open and the space around them stays quiet. You feel the pace of the hand.

The fine art print uses matte paper so the tones stay even under a lamp and there is no shine. A light frame on a dark wall lets the dark strokes stand out and the pale ground stay soft. The frame finish can follow the room.

On a bedroom wall near the bed you notice the dark strokes first and the pale ground next. From the doorway the marks read as simple shapes. Up close the paper grain shows through the paint.
